Communication and Language Lab

The institute has identified communication and language development needs of students as a major thrust area, to enable them to acquire effective interpersonal skills relevant to their future workplace. A full-fledged Communication and Language Laboratory has been set up with this objective, with professional tie-ups.



Entrepreneurship Augmentation

A dedicated cell in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, has been set up at the institute to provide active assistance in entrepreneurship development. It conducts regular Entrepreneurship Development programmes for the students as well as for the local youth on a merit basis.



Sponsorship for Postgraduate Programmes

The institute sponsors young graduates for Postgraduate Programmes on the same principle of “Early Faculty Induction Programme” of AICTE. Fresh engineering graduates can avail this benefit for undergoing Postgraduate degree programme in engineering from the neighbouring universities.



R&D and Industry-Institution Interaction

The faculty is encouraged to:

  • Participate in continuing education and industry internship

  • Undertake Doctoral Programmes

  • Joint guidance for Ph.D. programme with the neighbouring University/Research and Development (R&D) Labs

  • Publications and patents

  • Industry Projects

  • Consultancy

  • Professional Society Activities

  • Visiting Faculty and Adjunct Faculty positions are offered by the Institute to experienced professionals and industry executives.



Extra Curricular Activities

The students are actively encouraged to develop their creativity, explore potentials and skills for all-round development. the students participate in the following activities:

  • Sports Activities – Annual Sports

  • Cultural Activities – Annual Fest

  • MAKAUT (WBUT) Sports Meet

  • College Magazines and Wall Magazines

  • Exhibition and Technical competition viz. participating in University/Engineering College Exhibitions, BITM Exhibition, and other College Fests.

  • TV Programmes

  • Quizzes

  • Visiting Faculty and Adjunct Faculty positions are offered by the Institute to experienced professionals and industry executives.
