The department is involved in a National level project with National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering and Technology, Indian Council of Agricultural & Research (NINFET, ICAR). This project has been started since 2nd March, 2022. The director of this project Dr. Rakesh Ghosh with his team from NINFET, conducted many experiments till date and this project work will continue for few more years.
