Mechanical engineering is a four-year B.Tech program that teaches the students the basics of Engineering and enhances their knowledge of how heavy tools and machinery work. A student pursuing a mechanical engineering program will acquire knowledge about designing automobiles, electric motors, aircraft, and other heavy vehicles & Machineries. Technically, mechanical engineering is the application of the principles and problem-solving techniques of engineering from design to manufacturing to the marketplace for any object. Mechanical engineers analyze their work using the principles of motion, energy, and force—ensuring that designs function safely, efficiently, and reliably, all at a competitive cost. This includes solving today’s problems and creating future solutions in health care, energy, transportation, world hunger, space exploration, climate change, and more.Mechanical engineering combines creativity, knowledge and analytical tools to complete the difficult task of shaping an idea into reality.Disciplines within mechanical engineering include but are not limited to: Acoustics,Aerospace,Automation,Robotics,AI,Nanotechnology, to name a few. Hence this is one of the most diverse and versatile of the engineering disciplines. A Mechanical Engineering graduate will have wide horizon of knowledge and this course provides fuel to fly high in today’s challenging world. The scope of mechanical engineering in India and abroad is huge and the course awaits to show us the road for this journey.
