After obtaining a B. Tech (Civil) degree of the University, students can obtain employment in reputed companies like L&T, ECC, Tata Housing, Godrej properties, Sappoorji Paloonji, India Bull, Hindustan Construction, Reliance and notables construction companies. They can appear for UPSC and other Engineering services examinations and join Central and State Government Departments such as PWD, Irrigation, B&C, and Railways as Executive Engineers. They can become entrepreneurs by starting their developer or construction firm. They can also procure IT jobs or pursue their Post – graduation education in different Universities in India and abroad for higher education.

Applications are invited from both male and female candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal, or any equivalent examination of recognized Board or University as approved by the MAKAUT ( formerly WBUT)
All the candidates seeking admission into the Institute are required to qualify in the Joint Entrance Examination conducted by the W.B. Board of Examinations and recommended by the Central Selection Committee.
Candidates qualifying in the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) as per regulations of the Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal can also apply for admission.
